THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
William Bill Halverson, 70, of Lena passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 13.
Born April 11, 1944 in Appleton, he graduated from Seymour High School in 1963. After graduating, he joined the Unites States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran.
He owned and operated Halverson Horseshoeing Service in Pound for 37 years and enjoyed his horses and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by a longtime friend, Monica Halverson; brothers; sisters and other family members. He will be greatly missed by all his customers from throughout the years and his horses.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 11 a.m. at Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake, with Pastor Marvin Kindel officiating. Swedberg Funeral Home of Shawano is assisting the family with arrangements.
