Vicki L. Hering, 51, of Florence, passed away Sunday, May 11 at her home.
Born May 23, 1962, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Roger and Judy (Mutz) Conklin, she grew up in Beecher, and graduated from Pembine High School.
She worked as a manager for Khoury Brothers Unfinished Furniture for 25 years until its closing and later worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier from 2011 to December 2013. She married Troye Hering on June 25, 1994, in Tipler.
She volunteered for the Florence County Rescue Squad. She enjoyed nature and all that the outdoors offers. She started working out and lifting weights and even joined the Strongman Contest in Crystal Falls at Fungus Fest. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter, Jacqueline.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Troye; one daughter, Jacqueline Hering of Florence; her father-in-law, Johannas Hering of Florence; a sister-in-law, Marlayn Hering of Florence; two brothers, Roger Conklin of Beecher, and Brian Conklin of Green Bay; an aunt, Darlene (Dick) Gehling of Dunbar, and many other aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 15, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the funeral home.
