Adeline A. Pitroski, 92, Town of Pensaukee, passed away on Monday, May 12 surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 16, 1921 to the late John and Anna Zimanek and grew up on the family farm.
She met her husband, Paul Pitroski at a wedding reception in Abrams where they danced together with ease and grace as they would do through the rest of their years together. They were married on Nov. 26, 1942 and lived in Milwaukee for a few years, but returned to her family farm where they resided with their six children.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Paul; one son, Ron Pitroski, Oconto; five daughters, Cecilia Raymond, Milwaukee; Alice Kuhr, Suamico; Kathleen (George) Kuhr, California; Anne (Jerry) Dix and Cynde (Tim DeHut), Oconto; six grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Bernadine Zimanek, Rose Zimanek, Della Piorkowski; one brother-in-law ,John Pitroski; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, S. Charles Raymond, and Frederick A. Kuhr; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Albert (Estella) Zimanek, Louis (Sophie) Zimanek, Anthony (Veronica) Zimanek, Jack and Carl Zimanek.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto from 4-7 pm Friday, May 16 with Parish Wake Service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Stiles, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Father Joel Sember will officiate.
Pallbearers wil be Jerry Dix, Tim DeHut, John DeHut, Tim Raymond, George Kuhr and Michael LeRoy. Interment will be at the Stiles/Abrams Catholic Cemetery, Stiles.
