Helen E. Toth, 92, formerly of Fond du Lac, passed away Sunday, May 11 in Marinette.
Born Jan. 24, 1922 in Princeton, to Andrew and Blanche (Zaporowske) Michalowske, she married James J. Toth, sr. on Aug. 24, 1944 at St. Louis Church in FonduLac. He preceded her in death in 2005 and she moved to Marinette in 2007. Prior to marriage, she worked at Infant Socks.
A member of Holy Family Parish, she was active at St. Louis Church and School and they were both members of the Sacred Heart Perpetual Adoration Chapel for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, traveling, reading and cooking. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a caring and loving person.
Survivors are a son, James (Linda) Toth Jr., of Rosendale; a daughter, Susan (Arthur) Lewis, of Marinette; three grandsons; six great-granddaughters; a sister-in-law, Carlene Michalowske; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Mary Zajac and Clara Beaudreau; four brothers, Jerry, Frank, Joseph and John Michalowske and two grandchildren, Sheryl and John Toth.
Visitation was held Tuesday, May 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 21 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Church Holy Family, Fond du Lac followed by entombment at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum.
