Donald H. Boerschinger
Donald H. Boerschinger, 86, of Porterfield, passed away May 22. Born May 17, 1928, to Peter and Mary Boerschinger in Beaver, he was the youngest of 13 children. He lived in Beaver until moving to Waukesha in the late 1950s. After his retirement from Harnischfeger Corporation in West Allis, where he worked for 30 years after leaving farming, he moved back to Porterfield, within a short distance of his childhood farm home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and being with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Beverly; three children; Linda (Jeff) Mrazek of Knoxville,TN; Donald M. Boerschinger of Marinette, and Jeffrey Boerschinger of Hubertus; brother-in-law, Eugene Belonga of Claire, MI; and sister-in-law, Lois Galarneau of Waukesha.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27 with a Parish Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on Wednesday, May 28th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Crivitz with Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating. Interment was in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Pound.
