THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Lawrence Larry Chaltry, 67, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, May 23 at home.
He was born Dec. 3, 1946 in Menominee to William and Irene (Guber) Chaltry and on July 2, 1983 married the former Nancy Weber Zimmerman at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He worked for L.E. Jones Company for 40 years.
An avid golfer, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a very spiritual, kind, laughable man, but mostly was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and North Shore Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of Menominee; two daughters, Karen Chaltry, of Janesville and Tina (Peter) Taylor, of Camas, Wa.; a son, Larry (Kim) Zimmerman, of Howell, Mi.; five grandchildren; two brothers, John (Danita) and Richard, of Menominee; a sister, Jean Chaltry and two sisters-in-law, Vicky Chaltry, both of Menominee and Pat Chaltry, of Green Bay.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Adrian and William.
Family received friends on Tuesday May 27 after 2 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Birch Creek until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 4 p.m. Fr. Michael Ocran officiated with burial in Birch Creek Cemetery. Anderson Kell Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
