Margaret M. Peterson
Margaret M. Peterson, 75, of Dunbar, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain.
Born Dec. 25, 1937 in Chicago, daughter of Roxy and Margaret (Weichel) Prette, she graduated from Touley High School in Chicago. After graduation, she worked for an Insurance Agency there and married Harry P. Peterson, Jr. on Sept. 6, 1957 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Chicago. She worked for LaSalle Bank as a Consumer Lender for 25 years, retiring in 1998.
The couple frequently vacationed in the Pembine area and in 2011, moved to Dunbar. A member of St. Margaret Catholic Church of Pembine, she enjoyed collecting music boxes, ceramics, but mostly spending time
with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harry; two sons, Kevin
(Betty) Peterson, Carol Stream, Ill. and Gregory (Kathleen) Peterson,
Elmwood, Park, Ill.; a brother, Robert (Roseann) Prette, Burridge, Ill.;
two sisters, Kathy (Jim) Nugent, Villa Park, Ill. and Roxanne (Jim)
Randolph, Shorewood, Ill.; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 30 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Pembine with Rev. Matt Settle officiating. Jacobs Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
