Sylvin A. Salesky, 83, of Coleman passed away at home on Saturday, May 24. Born to Albert and Alice (Bedora) Salesky Sept. 29, 1930 in Marinette, he married the former Alma Johnson Oct. 21, 1961 at the First Baptist Church of Pound, where he was a life time member.
He enjoyed working outside on the family farm. His favorite job was cutting and sawing wood. He graduated valedictorian from Coleman High School with the class of 1948. He drove semi for Schneider Transport and retired after 25 years.
He had a passion for the Ministry of Faith Christian School in Coleman. Because of his generosity, many boys and girls are being influenced for the Lord.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alma; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends at his church.
Relatives and friends may call at the First Baptist Church, Pound from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28th until the time of Funeral Services at noon. Rev. Giles Litzner will officiate with interment in the First Baptist Cemetery, Pound. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman, is assisting the family.
A Memorial Fund has been established for Faith Christian School in his memory.
