Coleman Rescue Squad Observes 60th Year
During Emergency Medical Services (EMS) week May 19-23, the Coleman Rescue Squad marked its 60th anniversary at an open house on Monday, May 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. Over 200 people attended the event at the squad building located on Business 141 between the Villages of Coleman and Pound.
Current members have from over 45 years of service to under one year and were on hand to show equipment and answer questions.
The new 2014 ambulance was displayed.
The squad is in need of new members. If interested, talk with any member.
Food and refreshments were served and blood pressure and blood sugar tests were checked of anyone interested. Members of both the Coleman and Pound Fire Departments were present.
Emergency Medical Services week is held to honor all ambulance, police and firefighters for their service to the public.
