Jean A. Mattila, 84, Lena, passed away at her home June 4. She was born April 7, 1930 in Oconto, daughter of the late William and Minnie (Felmer) Schmolinski and married John Mattila on Nov. 1, 1952 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 2010.
Survivors include a son, Wayne (Kathy), and a daughter, Melinda Mattila, both of Lena; a brother, Earl Schmolinski and Marian Pauley of Shawano; a step-grandson; cousin and best friend, Herb Kamm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Arvid, and a brother, Elroy.
Visitation was held Saturday, June 7 at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Pastor Bruce Blocker officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.
