Gerald A. Berg, 74, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, June 11 at home.
Born Feb. 25, 1940, in Milwaukee, to Arnold and Violet (Bartels) Berg, he served in the United States Army. He worked as a farmer and a journeymen pipefitter at Marinette Marine.
He enjoyed gardening, cooking, sharing his produce, going to the Senior Center and playing cards with friends, but spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, is what he enjoyed most.
Survivors include his children, Michael (Terri), of Daggett, Mi., Brian (Dawn), of Shawano and Heather (Jamie Quistorf) Berg, of Crivitz; special friend, Arlyss Bero; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Elinore (Evert) Wayrynen, of Stephenson, Mi. and Linda (Peter) Luton-Berg, of Bellevue, Wa. and a brother, William Berg, of Menominee, Mi.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Kell Funeral Home, 533 10th Avenue, Menominee, Mi. on Friday, June 20 at 11 a.m. Military Rites will be held at 1 p.m., followed by a Funeral service with Pastor David Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.
