Eleanor A. Kwasny
Eleanor A. (Ellie) (Rezach) Kwasny, 81, of De Pere, passed away Thursday, June 12.
Born Oct. 19, 1932, to Victor and Hattie (Knipp) Rezach, she married Clifford Kwasny on Oct. 7, 1950. She was a cook at the Chatterhouse Supper Club in De Pere and her chicken dumpling soup became the house recipe. Later she worked for the Radisson at the Gathering in the Irene Moore Activity Center until her retirement.
A member of St. Francis Xavier Church in De Pere and the Moose Lodge, she enjoyed the casino, visiting her friends, traveling and a good cup of coffee.
She is survived by her children, Lois (Bob) Halonen and Steve (Julie), both of Oneida, Cliff Jr., Tom and Ken, all of Green Bay, Marlene Ackley, of Kewaunee, Tom Karen (Jeff) Baird, of Algoma, Sharon (Jim) Cochenet, of Oconto and Mike (RaeLynn), of De Pere; sisters and brothers-in-law: Vaughn Rezach of Milwaukee, Sandy Rezach, of Two Rivers, Betty Gretz, of Manitowoc, Shirley (Dan) Brusky and Clarence Butch (Carol) Kwasny, both of Kewaunee, , Larry (Shirley) Kwasny, of Appleton, Mary Fiala, Lloyd (Carol) Kwasny and Carol Zastrow, all of Green Bay, Marilyn (John) Wiegert, of Wrightstown and David (Sandy) Kwasny, of Casco; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister; two brothers; a brother-in-law; three nephews; two nieces and a grandson, Jason.
Family and friends visited at Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, on Tuesday, June 17 from 3 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Larry from Unity Hospice officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18.
