THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
William Bill Disjardin, 53, passed peacefully in his sleep with many family members at his side, on Sunday morning, June 29, following a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 10, 1960 to Gerald and Joan Kimball Disjardin, he was a loving, gentle man, always more concerned for others, and made many friends through the years. He graduated in 1979 and enjoyed wood craft work, fishing and taking rides on his motorcycle.
He struggled all his life, starting with a brain tumor in the early 70s. He courageously fought and won many of his battles. This past year, an infection was stronger than he was, and the infection finally won. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his mother, Joan Nesbitt, and further survived by other family members, Valarie (Jeff) Gray, Nancy (Al) Polzin, Renee (Dan McDermott) Delfosse, Karen (Dave) Martin, Joyce Gauthier, Kimberly Disjardin, Drew Nesbitt (Kevan Boeder), James (Lori) Nesbitt; many nieces and nephews as well as his family of friends at Goodwill Industries and Marinette County.
Visitation will be held at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Thursday, July 3, from 3:30 until 6 p.m. A celebration of his life will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday with a sharing of stories and a brief prayer.
