THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Rosemary Kolaszewski, 84, of Marinette, passed away Monday, June 30 at the Luther Home in Marinette.
Born May 22, 1930 in Menominee, to John and Margaret (Bartl) Pepper,
she spent her early life there and attended Menominee High School and married Joseph Kolaszewski Oct. 25, 1948. A homemaker, she also was employed for many years by many local businesses, working until the age of 80. For several years she was a floral designer at local florist shops, including Everard's and Menominee Floral and her design work was highly regarded and often sought after.
She enjoyed reading, home decorating and working in her flower garden, with her family being the center of her life.
She is survived by five children, Joseph Kolaszewski, Wendy (Fran) Swiatnicki, Cyndy (Gene) Martin, Leo (Trish) Kolaszewski and Nick Kolaszewski; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three sisters, Anne Parkansky, Penny (Wayne) Kanyuh and Bonnie (Richard) Boucher.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and two sisters, Pat Boucher and Peggy Kapitz.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 5 followed by a Funeral Mass at noon at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Taylor St. Rev. Joseph Dorner will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee. A luncheon will follow.
