Drug Units Arrest 2 In Meth Investigations

Two persons were arrested Monday, July 7, as a result of a drug investigation by the Northeast Tri-County Drug Enforcement Group.

A 29 year old Oconto male was arrested for delivery of methamphetamine and lodged in the Marinette County Jail pending formal charges.

Law enforcement officers then went to a residence in the Town of Little River in Oconto County where evidence of manufacturing methamphetamine was located. A 39 year old female was arrested and lodged in the Oconto County Jail pending formal charges.

Names of the pair have not been released until charges are filed.

Assisting in the investigation were the Marinette Police Department, Marinette County Sheriff Department, Menominee County Sheriff Department, Oconto County Sheriff Department and the Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation.

Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve urges that anyone with information of illegal drugs to contact the sheriff department at 715-732-7626 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-427-5857 or www.tipsubmit.com or text Marinette plus your message to 274637 (Crimes).

These follow other drug arrests made in Oconto County.

Arrested on June 25 were William J. Longsine, 49, 5196 St. Patricks Road, Lena, and Abigail R. Santee, 25, 110 John St., Oconto Falls. Both are scheduled to have an adjourned initial appearance on Thursday, July 10, in Oconto County Circuit Court before Judge Michael Judge.

At an initial appearance on July 1, the court set a cash bond of $100,000 for Longsine and $50,000 for Santee. Both remain in custody unable to furnish the bonds.

Longsine is charged with eight felony counts and Santee with seven. The seven same counts are manufacture with intent to deliver amphetamine between 10 to 50 grams, possession with intent to deliver between 10 to 50 grams of amphetamine, intent to dispose of methamphetamine waste, knowingly possess methamphetamine waste, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture, compound, convert, produce or store methamphetamine. The eighth charge against Longsine is maintain a drug trafficking place.

The pair were arrested as the result of the execution of search warrants by the Oconto County Sheriff Department, Oconto Falls Police Department and Department of Justice Criminal Division.

Arrested in the May 28 methamphetamine case were four persons. They were Ashley L. Van Norman, 23, and Wendy S. Pogrant, 51, both of 249 Birch Ave., Oconto Falls and Joseph P. Anderson 24, and Nicholas R. Block, 29, both of Green Bay. All four have pled not guilty to charges and will have pre-trial conferences on Aug. 14 in Oconto County Circuit Court. They all remain in custody unable to furnish cash bonds ranging from $150,000 to $10,000.
