Mark P. Stevens
Mark P. Stevens, 59, of New York, passed away Monday, July 21 following a brief battle with cancer.
Born March 17, 1955, to George and Therese (Kitslaar) Stevens, in Menominee, he graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School in 1973 and UW-Madison. He furthered his education at New York University and worked at New York Life at the New York offices for many years. He resided in New York until his illness, when he returned to Marinette to be with his family. He enjoyed model trains, solving mathematical equations and was an avid drummer.
He is survived by his mother, Therese Stevens; a brother, Tom Stevens; two sisters, Mary Stevens and Sara Stevens, all of Marinette and two nephews, Jacob and Joseph, both of Rapid City, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his father, George; three uncles and his grandparents.
Friends may call on Saturday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Thielen Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish-St. Josephs Church on Carney Blvd. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
