THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
James Butch LaCasse, 53, of Menominee, passed away at Menominee Care Center on Sunday, July 27.
Born Sept. 17, 1959, in Racine, to Clarence and Patricia (Mathews) LaCasse, he was a loving son, brother, and father.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camp and doing anything outdoors and loved to share it with his family and friends. He was artistic, loved new challenges and enjoyed building things with his hands. Before his stroke, he made muskie lures, fly baits, and carved wood. He found faith through his closest friend, Joe Ellis and constant companionship with his pets.
He is survived by children, Garrid LaCasse, Terrence Rice and Melinda LaCasse; siblings, Doug LaCasse, Daniel LaCasse and Charlotte (John Ernie Long) LaCasse; two grandchildren and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A committal service will be held on Thursday, July 31, at 1 p.m. at Stephenson Cemetery. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
