THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Marlene Kobishop, 75, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday, July 29 at Sun Valley Homes in Marinette.
Born April 28, 1939 in Marinette, to Leonard and Margaret Palmateer,
she spent her early life here and attended Marinette High School. She briefly resided in Texas, then spent several years in Oconto Falls before returning to Marinette where she lived at Northland Village for a number of years. She had a generous spirit and will be remembered for her love of animals.
She is survived by a daughter, Dana Vincent, of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Mary (Ron) Bane, of Marinette and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Hanson; a brother, Tom Palmateer and three sisters, Alice Caritz, Janet Martz and Beverly Fleury.
A Memorial Service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4 at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette. Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiated with burial in Forest Home Cemetery.
