Elaine M. Jorgensen, 93, of Green Bay, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 31, with family at her side.
Born May 13, 1921 in Green Bay, to William and Irene (Hebert) Campshure, she married Allen C. Jorgenson on July 3, 1937. She enjoyed raising her family in Denmark and later in Green Bay and worked at Prange's Department Store and Fashion Bug.
A member of St. Bernard Church, she took pleasure in sewing, needle work and home decorating, but mostly, enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by children, Allen R. (Dolores) Jorgensen, Oconto, Annette (Roger) LaCourt, Denmark, Audrey (Lyle) Gerads, St. Cloud Mn., Kathleen (Leon "Pete") Peterson, Green Bay and Jack (James Steward) Jorgensen, Madison; a sister, Joyce Lefebvre, Green Bay; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; numerous other relatives; friends and a special friend, Nancy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Allen; a sister, Audrey Beecher; a brother, William "Bud" Campshure; a son, Donald Jorgensen and three grandchildren, Kris Jorgensen, Amy and Phillip Piontek.
Family gathered to celebrate her life on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum. Donations can be made to the Wildlife Sanctuary. Proko Wall Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
