20 Area Packer Fans at Hall of Fame Banquet
Twenty Packer fans from the Coleman and Pound area attended the annual Hall of Fame banquet in Green Bay last month. Entering the Hall of Fame were honored guests Ken Ruettgers and Ahman Green. Eddie lacy was Rookie of the Year and Jordy Nelson was named Most Valuable Player of the Year.
The atrium was transformed into a vast banquet room of 120 tables seating 1200 celebrants. The round tables each seated 10 guests. White table cloths added elegance as did bottles of wine for the adults. Engraved brandy snifters were gifts for each guest. A steak and chicken dinner was served.
Former Packer players William Henderson and Kabeer Gbaja Biamila circulated and greeted guests.
Next year the only former Packer to enter the Hall of Fame is 15-year quarterback, Brett Favre. The event will take place Saturday, July 18, 2015.
