Crivitz Oktoberfest at Veterans Park Sept. 20
Oktoberfest in Crivitz will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 20 from noon to midnight at Crivitz Community Veterans Park. Food available will be bratwurst, kielbasa, wieners from Pelkins Smokey Meat Market, homemade German potato salad, sauerkraut, pretzels and apple strudel along with beer and wine from Falling Waters Winery.
There will be pumpkin decorating contest, bouncy houses, face painting and more. Music is 1 to 4 p.m. of old time rock and roll by Save the Wooly Mammoth of Crivitz.
From 4:15 to 8:15 p.m. will be Pulaskis Maroszek Brothers Polka Band and 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. rock, swing, shuffle, stomp and crawl with Kilborn Alley Blues Band of Champaign, Ill.
Also planned are beer stein race and contests to include Starken Mann stein hoisting, yodeling, sauerkraut eating and apple strudel. All proceeds will benefit the Crivitz Fire Department.
