Joseph F. Steiner
Joseph Francis Steiner, 76, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Friday, Aug. 15 at his home.
Born Dec. 27, 1937 in Chicago, Ill., to Julius and Anna (Schrei) Steiner, he worked as a tool and die maker in Illinois and Michigan.
He enjoyed traveling, touring light houses and going to museums. A handy man, he worked on cars and did home improvements.
Survivors include a sister, Anna (Hugh) Dunphy, of Frankfort, Ill.; two nephews, Christopher Dunphy and Hugh Patrick Dunphy II and a niece, Bernadette La Ponte.
Visitation will be held in the Memorial Room of Precious Blood Catholic Church on Friday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Fr. Ronald Timock will officiate with burial in Mellen Township Cemetery with Military honors at 12:15 pm. A luncheon will follow in the Church basement. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
