T/Wausaukee Is Updated On Garbage Pickup, Mobile Homes
Wausaukee--Winter garbage pickup dates, mobile homes, road agreement, floats for pier and missing stamps were among items of business when the Wausaukee Town Board met Tuesday, Aug. 12. Absent was Supervisor 4 Dennis Taylor,
Others present were Maryanne Tomasino, Jack and Penny Pociask and Annette Pleshak.
Pleshak addressed the Board regarding options for mobile homes in the Town. Many options were discussed and she will return to the Board for discussion.
The Board was informed that the winter garbage pickup schedule will go into effect in Sept. Dates are Thursdays, Sept. 4, 11 and 25. Pickup will then continue every other week until Memorial Day.
Discussion was held on the purchase of floats for a pier on McCall Lake. Another option was an aluminum roll out dock which will be researched further by Supervisor David Tomasino along with bids and quotes for the Sept. Board meeting.
It was suggested that the Piers and Park Committee be a budget item. Meanwhile the Town will continue to use the miscellaneous budget for such a purchase.
Clerk Cheryl Stumbris reported almost an entire roll of stamps had been taken from her desk. Also codes on locks for both offices and town hall door have been changed.
Accepted was the report of Treasurer Sally Hultquist showing balance on hand as of July 31 consisted of $27,979.24 in checking and $208,229.06 in the money market general account.
Road Foreman Jack Pociask informed the Board that the recycling center in Crivitz will no longer accept box springs and mattresses. He and Clerk Stumbris will work together on updating the recycling sheet.
In other business, the Board:
* Accepted the road repair agreement with Northeast Asphalt.
* Chairman Jeff Engelmann will review the Wausaukee Fire District second quarter report and if necessary, discussion will be held at the Sept. Board meeting.
* Received information on the 2014 Marinette County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
