Stephen M. Feigerle, of Cedar River, Mi., passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 29 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center one day after his 96th birthday. The youngest son of Anna and Julius Feigerle, he was the last survivor of 12 brothers and sisters. He grew up in Joliet, Ill. and moved to Chicago after serving in the Coast Guard during World War II. He married the former Caroline Schuster on June 17, 1945 in Joliet, Ill.
After retirement from DK Manufacturing Company in Illinois, for the past 44 years, they resdided in Cedar River where he belonged to the Church of the Precious Blood of Stephenson and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Survivors include two sons, Michael, of Cedar River, Mi. and Charles (Minki), of Knoxville, Tn.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and over 40 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Caroline and 11 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from noon until 2:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Precious Blood Catholic Church at 2:30 p.m. with Father Ronald Timock officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Cedar River Cemetery.
