Gregory A. Sachs
Gregory A. Sachs, 65, of Menominee, Mi., formerly of West Allis, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27 at home.
Born Nov. 21, 1948, to George and Marian (Coenen) Sachs, he graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1968 and served for two years in the United States Army during Vietnam. On Aug. 14, 1971, he married Karen LaCombe at Epiphany Catholic Church in Menominee. He moved to Menominee and worked at Ansul for over 35 years, retiring due to illness.
He enjoyed woodworking, Legos, puzzle books, feeding turkeys and deer and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen; three daughters, Linda (Anthony) Premo, of Portage, Rebecca (Seth) Seastrum, of Graham, Wa. and Melissa Sachs, of Menominee; three brothers, Vincent, Tom (Rochel) and James (Roni); three sisters, Dona (Clarence) Schuette, Norine (Ken) Neckar and Mary (Mike) Fellin; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Visitation was held at Holy Redeemer Church on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m., with Rev. Michael Ocran officiating. A memorial fund has been established. Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
