Doris GiGi S. Griger, 91, of Brookfield, formerly of Marinette, passed away Monday, Sept. 1 at her residence.
Born Dec. 31, 1922 in Marinette, to Frank and Mary (Bowin), she graduated from Marinette High School in 1940. She married Rudy Griger on Aug. 23, 1952 and worked at AT&T in Brookfield.
She enjoyed reading, bingo, cards, casinos and the Senior Center. A devout Catholic, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by children, Sharon (Bill) Ehr, Pamela (Bill) Niesl, Barry (Lisa) Griger, Ronald (Gail) Griger and Constance (Don) Taggert; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudy; a brother, Genor and a granddaughter, Cindy.
Visitation will be held at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend on Friday, Sept. 5 from 4 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 6 p.m. Interment will be in Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee on Monday, Sept. 8. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
