Jerome E. Hassenfeldt
Jerome Hassie E. Hassenfeldt, 74, of Oconto, passed away Friday, Aug. 29 at Woodland Village, Oconto.
Born May 16, 1940 in Oconto, to Alfred and Luella (Weidenhaft) Hassenfeldt, he married Delores Bushmaker on Nov. 7, 1975. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and then in the Army National Guard for over 20 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Oconto American Legion Post #74.
He is survived by his wife, Delores, Oconto; three daughters, Lynne (Dan) Nyman, Crivitz, Susan DeHut and Veronica Roni (Mark) Lake, both of Oconto; three sons, Michael DeHut, Charles (Crystal) DeHut and Raymond John (Karrie) DeHut, all of Oconto; a sister, Marilyn Hassenfeldt, Green Bay; a brother, Marvin Hassenfeldt, Kimberly; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorretta Dyer, Irene Demmith, Marie (Si) Brault, Louise Schlough, Vincent (Carol) Bushmaker, Norman (Mary) Bushmaker, Jerome (Pam) Bushmaker and Joanne Bushmaker; many nieces; nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Mae Martinez.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Services at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6. Deacon Walter Kaszynski will officiate followed by Military Rites by Oconto American Legion Post #74.
