Donald R. Whitton, 78, of Appleton, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018.
Born Nov. 5 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Richard and Bertha (Gustafson) Whitton, he attended Washington Grade School and graduated from Menominee High School in 1958. He married the late Joyce Johnson in 1967 and they spent 26 years together. He was a skilled machinist at Zwicker Knitting and Voith Inc.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, was an active bike rider, even through cold winters and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He is survived by two sons, Michael and Paul Whitton; two sisters, Carole and Marlea Whitton; a brother, Charles Whitton and four nieces, Alisa Joseph Deutsch, Justine McCormick, Cheryl Buersmeyer and Laura Joseph.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce.
Visitation for friends and family was held at Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home in Appleton on Saturday, Jan, 5 from 4 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 5 p.m., officiated by Brother Mike Aniol.
