Harold J. Horn Sr., 66, of Gillett, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, surrounded by family.
Born Sept. 10, 1952 in Oklahoma, to the late Charley and Nellie (Coughron) Horn, he attended high school and graduated from college in Oklahoma. In his youth, he was an experienced rattlesnake catcher and enjoyed riding bulls. In the early 1980's, he moved to Wisconsin, where he was a welder at many locations in the area. In 2001, he and Sherry Struble started their life together.
He enjoyed fishing, karaoke, nature and time with family and friends, but especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his fiancée, Sherry; four step-children, Christine Winkler, Willie Winkler, Tina (fiancé Dallas Christensen) Winkler and Leon Criss; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and many brothers; sisters; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Harold Horn, Jr. and many brothers and sisters.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m., with Pastor Bill Krauss officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring assisted the family with arrangements.
