Rangers Roll in Week of Wins

Issue Date: December 12, 2019

Wausaukee Takes Down Lena

The Wausaukee Boys Basketball team bagged a nice 53-33 win over the Lena Wildcats last Thursday evening.

The home court win was highlighted by a 15 point surge from Wausaukee's Tristin Pollard.

The Rangers were ahead early and held on with a 30-16 lead at the half.

Pollard was the games top scorer with 15 pints total, hitting on a triple helping of three point buckets. He also had five rebounds. Hayden Renikow was next on the score sheets with 12 points also having a great defensive day with six rebound and five steals.

Brenden Versaskas posted 11 points while getting six rebounds and a steal while Andrew Schroeder posted nine while rebounding 10 and stealing one.

Lena was led by the evenings top performer Max Beyer, the underdog Wildcat blasted his way to his 19 point readout sinking four three pointers. Simon Gard had eight points while Jacob Belongia posted four.

Oconto Moves to 3-0

With Win Over

Sevastopol

The Oconto Blue Devils have yet to be pushed back as they moved to 3-0 Thursday night with a 77-57 victory over Sevastopol.

Caleb Moe led Oconto with 18, Josh Woller got 17, Will Sherman posted 15, Preston Wusterbarth added up 10 while Luke Krueger finished the game with 8.

Sevastopol's Robert Pollman led all scorers with 23, Brent Haberli got 9, Josh Pfieger and Arthur Hocker ended the game with 7 each.

Peshtigo Takes Two Point Loss to Northland Pines

The Peshtigo Bulldogs were unforgettably unable to close the gap in the final seconds of Friday's match up with Northland Pines as the Pines' boys took the 76-74 win.

Though Peshtigo was behind by games end they did shoot pretty well during the 74 point attack. From the free throw line the Bulldogs were 81 percent making 13 of their 16 points.

Northland Pines made up some decent ground in three point column where they struck for 11 of their 21 attempts. Peshtigo on the other hand had troubles from downtown as only five of their 16 long range shots hit home.

Peshtigo did control the rebound game where they outdid the Pines boys 14 rebounds to 11.

Cade Tackmier had a whale of a game striking for a game leading 31 points. Brendan Demmith added up 13 points while Adam Bauman followed up with another 13 points. Muaz Salem pitched in seven to the effort.

Coleman Completely Shuts Down Niagara

The Coleman Cougars look as if they might be finding a pretty good stride going into the 2019-20 basketball season as they slammed the visiting Niagara Badgers with a 54-18 final verdict.

The game never strayed to much from the hands of the Cougars as a first half burst of energy left the Cougars ahead 31-14.

Niagara returned from the locker room and could not find their pace as the Cougars stomped out any possible offensive push, holding the Badgers to just four points. The Cougars finished the game with strong scoring as well tacking an extra 23 points onto their first half tally.

Payton Nelson led all scorers during the contest, getting 18 points. Noah Nosgovitz chipped in eight while Zach Zablocki followed up with a six point push.

Niagara's Tristin DeJardin led the way for Niagara with six points while Dawson Lincoln added on five points.

Peshtigo Gets Win

Over Sevastopol

The Peshtigo Bulldogs were able to bag a home court win Tuesday night when they took down the visiting Sevastopol Pioneers 61-50.

The 11 point win saw the Bulldogs cycle through nearly their entire bench, giving some much needed playing time to almost the whole squad.

After one half of play the Bulldogs enjoyed a nice 30-27 lead, but a there point lead is not a comfortable as the Bulldogs returned to the court in the second half for another 30 points while digging in defensively to hold the Pioneers at another 27 point half readout.

Sevastopol did have the games top scorer on their squad, Rob Pollman. Pullman posted 21 points.

Peshtigo was led by a great effort from Cade Tackmier who posted a team leading 19 points. Tanner Marquardt followed up with 11 points while Landon Lemke posted nine. Brendan Demmith and Adam Baumann both chipped in nine points each to the tally.

Crivitz Gets Win Over Niagara

The Crivitz Wolverines were won after two halves of play Tuesday night defeating home court Niagara 70-27.

The Wolverines had a nice lead heading into the intermissions there accurate shooter piled up a 39-14 lead.

Over that first half Werner was able to push the Wolverines had with a nice 12 point effort while Andrist increased the first half lead with nine points.

That lead would be no where near surprised by the Badgers as they struggled to find a way through the tough and quick Wolverine defense.

Eian Baumann went off a bit in the second half for the Wolverines as he carried the ball to eight points.

By games end the Wolverines' Jaden Werner had amassed 17 points to take top scoring honors for Crivitz. Dawson Andrist fired in 15 points while Chandler Kaldenberg added up 10 points. Ian Baumann also got ten points.

Niagara was led by Weber with seven points and Dunlap who also had seven.

Rangers Slam STAA

The Wausaukee Ranger Boy's basketball team took a nice 66-44 victory over the St. Thomas Aquinas Cavaliers Tueday night.

STAA kept the game within reach over the first as the Rangers took the lead 32-22.

The ten point margin would only be increases as the time expired..

Wausaukee was led by Hayden Renikow with 21 points and Andrew Schroeder with nine.

STAA was led by Baxter with 13 points and Russell with 12 points.
