Niagara/Wausaukee Advance With Regional Wins

Oneida Nation Stays Undefeated in M&O

The Oneida Nation Thunderhawks stayed unbeaten in their conference last week when they took down the Coleman Cougar girls 44-38.

A much closer score than the league leading Thunderhawks would have liked.

In fact at the half the Cougars were in a position to win as they led 21-20.

The Thunderhawk however were not going to let it stand as they fired back for the 44-38 final readout.

Leading Oneida Nation was Ackley with 14 points and Jacobs with 14 points. Schumann chipped in nine.

The Cougars were led by Cameron Compe with 12 points and Bintz with 11. Ziemer added on six.



Three Lakes Defeats Florence

The Florence Bobcats were unable to over the Three Lakes girls last week as three Lakes took the 69-24 win.

The Bobcats were led by Selden with seven points and Enders with five. Behrmann also posted five for the Bobcats.



Niagara Gets Win Over Suring

The Niagara Badgers posted a solid win over the Suring Eagles last week, grounding the Eagles with a 63-33 final readout.

The halftime score saw the Badgers out ahead 27-19.

The Badgers were led by Racine with 12 points and Oratch who led the way for the team with 16 points. Alyssa Cretton posted 11.

Suring was led by Kylee Stelzer with 16 points and Paige Krueger with eight points.



Gillett Fights for Position With Win Over Wausaukee

the Gillett Tigers who need to keep winning to keep their hopes of finishing near the top of the M&O conference alive, saw themselves take another big win. This time over the Wausaukee Rangers 65-41.

The win saw the Tigers get ahead early, controlling the scoreboard at the half 23-21, and keeping that lead in hand over the second half.

The Tigers were led by Schaal with 24 points and DeBauch with 17 points. Young added on eight.

Wausaukee was led by Kaelyn Schlies with 18 points and Steph Murray with 11. R. Schlies posted eight on the evening.



Crivitz Slams Lena

The Crivitz Wolverine girls took a big win over the Lena Wildcats last week 68-21.

The Halftime score saw the Wolverines controlling the game 37-8.

The Wolverines were led by Chloe Gruszynski with 18 points and Morgan VanLanen with 10 points. Richlen finished the evenings with 10 points.

Lena was led by Marquardt with seven points, Rabas with six and McCurlen with two points. Shallow and Spratlin also both posted two points.



Menominee Crushes Stephenson

The Menominee Maroons grill are still undefeated and beat the Stephenson Eagles with a 65-17 final readout.

The game saw the Maroons post a 29-10 at the half before going on to win.

Leading the Eagles was Johnson with seven points, Andersons with three and Schultz with two.

Menominee was led by Barrette with 13 points. Anderson with 12 points and Nolde with12 points.





Niagara Beats STAA by One

The Niagara Badgers came away with a one point win over the St. Thomas Aquinas Cavaliers last week 42-41.

It was almost as close at the half as Niagara led 21-19.

The Badgers were led by Cretton with 13 points and Maki with nine. Gill posted seven.

The Cavvies were led by Baxter with 17 points and Pristelski with 11 points.



Marinette Takes Loss to Denmark

The Marinette Marines took a loss to the Denmark Vikings last week 59-38.

Marinette led at the half 21-20.

Marinette was led by Waloway with 12 and Kitzinger with 10 points. Chenier added up six points.

Denmark was led by Jens with 16 points and Heraly with 16 points.



Wausaukee Advances With Win Over Lena

The Wausaukee Rangers girls posted a Regional tourney win Tuesday night, defeating the Lena Wildcats by way of a humiliating 51-8 final verdict.

Wausaukee led 33-3 at the half.

Wausaukee was led by Kaelyn Schlies wirth 19 points and Madelyn Schlies with 14 points. Steph Murray got five.

All of Lena's points were scored by four players. McCurlen had three, Potter and Spratlin both got two while Wenzel had one free throw point for the eight total points over two half's of play.



Florence Season Ends With loss to Elcho

The Florence Bobcat girls who have had a good season this year saw it end with a 40-25 loss to Elcho.

Florence was led by Jordan Springer with seven points and Madison Neuens with six points. Jenna Springer posted six.



Menominee Indian Defeats Coleman

The Menominee Indian girls beat Coleman 69-56 in regional basketball play.

The halftime score was 29-27 in favor of Coleman



Niagara Trounces White Lake in Regional

The Niagara Badgers posted a WIAA Regional victory Tuesday night, defeating the White Lake girls 57-7.

The huge win saw the Badgers get ahead at the half 35-2.

Leading the Badgers in the win was Cassie Gill with 11 points. J. Maki posted nine on the night.



Oconto Drops Regional to Manawa

The Oconto Blue Devils' season ended Tuesday night in the WIAA Regional round when they faced the Manama Wolves who they fell to 53-47.

Manawa controlled the first half with a 29-18 lead while Oconto finished strong outscoring Manawa in the second frame 29-24.

Oconto was led by Bucheger with 10 points and Jenna Hornbald with 16 points.

Manawa was led by Miller with 14 points and Jaeger with 13 points.
