WIAA Boys Regionals to Begin Tuesday

Kingsford Tops Menominee by One

The Kingsford Flivvers took on the Menominee Maroons last week and were able to defeat the Maroons by way of a very close final verdict 71-70.

Kingsford led the whole way taking a giant 40-22 lead over the first half.

eagan Monroe led the way with 21 points for the Maroons while Conway pitched in 15. Uecke posted 14 points.

Kingsford was led by Bracket with 17 points, Nora with 16 and Kopp with 16 points.

Peshtigo Defeats

NEW Lutheran

The Peshtigo Bulldogs posted a 60-46 victory over the NEW Lutheran Blazers of Green Bay last week.

Peshtigo controlled things over the first half with a 23-16 readout which they held onto with good defense over the second half for the win.

Peshtigo was led by Adam Bauman with 15 points and Landon Lemke with 14 points. Cade Tackier posted 12 on the evening.

NEW Lutheran was led by Lynch with 11 points and Bukowski with 10. Luepke posted seven points.



Wausaukee Beats Goodman Pembine

The Wausaukee Ranger boys came away with a 70-59 victory over the Goodman-Pembina Patriots.

Wausaukee led at the half with a 31-29 point differential. Tristan Pollard and Hayden Renikow both had superlative nights on the court as the two combined for 57 of the 70 Ranger points.

The Rangers were led by Renikow with 35 points and Pollard with 22 points. Brandon Shigouri followed up with six on the evening.

Leading the Patriots was Larison with 22 points and Wysocki with 16. Kalkofen added on 10.



Lena Takes Loss to Coleman

The Lena Wildcats were unable to quell the Cougars of Coleman who bagged the win over the Wildcats 61-23.

Coleman's winning effort occurred very early in the game as the Cougars held a very distinct edge at the half 30-8.

The Cougars were led by Nick Teteak with 17 points and Payton Nelson with eight points. Sadowski added on seven to the tally.

Lena's Max Beyer finished the game with seven points while Logan Shallow added seven. Simonson pitched in five points to the effort.



Crivitz Shellacks Gillett

The Crivitz Wolverines went wild on their M&O conference opponent last week when they shutdown the Gillett Tigers 80-40.

The win saw the Wolverines get way ahead in the first half, controlling the scoreboard with the 41-17 differential.

By games end the Wolverines were led by Werner with 22 points and Kaldenberg with 14 points. Andrist posted 14 on the night.

Gillett was led by Logan Block with 13 points, Anthony Carroll with 10 points and Vandercorput with nine points.



Marinette Takes Loss to Little Chute

The Marinette Marines were unable to overcome a first half deficit as the Little Chute Mustangs came away with the 31-15 victory.

Little Chute got things going their way early on, getting the 31-15 halftime lead before plastering the Marines with second half buckets.

The Marines were led by Polazzo with 20 points, Sommerfeldt with 15 points and Maye with seven.

Little Chute was led by Huss with 16 points and VanAsten with 15 points. Koch added up eight.



Suring Defeats Lena

The Suring Eagles got a near end of season win to bolster their season readout, as they defeated the Lena Wildcats with a 50-33 differential.

The win saw the Eagles get the lead going into the intermission, leading the way with 26 points to Lena's 18.

The Eagles were led by Jayden Geniesse with 26 points. Ethan Hischke with eight points and Hank with four.

Lena was led by Max Beyer with nine points, Logan Shallow with eight and Belgona with seven.



Menominee Takes Down Gladstone

The Menominee Maroons bagged an 84-76 victory over the Gladstone Braves last week.

The Maroons started quite strong in this one as they fired in a 32-28 lead over the opening half.

Leading the Maroons was Keagan Monroe with 27 points. Starzynski with six points and Badker with eight.

Gladstone was led by N. Ballard with 24 points and C. Ballard with 20 points. Castor had 22 on the night.



Kewaunee Takes Down Peshtigo

The Kewaunee Storm managed to take down the Peshtigo Bulldogs last week, bagging their win with a 75-48 final verdict.

The win saw the Storm shutdown the Bulldogs early on as the Halftime lead showed Kewaunee in the lead 33-22.

Unable to overcome the first half push by the Storm the Bulldogs began to fall further behind.

Leading the way for Kewaunee was Bartolini with 23 points and Carmichael with 21 points. Hannah posted 12 points on the night.

Peshtigo was led by Landon Lemke with 15 points and Adam Bauman with 13 points. Tackmier finished with 11 on the night.



Wausaukee Narrowly Defeats Florence

The Wausaukee Rangers fired their way to a 68-62 victory over the Florence Bobcats last week.

The win saw the Rangers fire in 23 points over the first half while the Bobcats controlled the lead with 24 points.

Wausaukee was led by Hayden Renikow with 21 points and Andrew Schroeder with 17 points. Tristan Pollard posted 15 on the night.

The Bobcats were led by Kaden Schuls with 19 points and Stoltz with 13 points. Johnson added on 12.



Marinette Falls to Fox Valley Lutheran

The Marinette Marines took a loss to the Fox Valley Lutheran boys last week when FVL came away with the 76-66 win.

The halftime score was 37-21 in favor of FVL.

Leading the way for Marinette was Polazzo with 26 points and Maye with 16. Sommerfeld posted 10 points.

FVL was led by Ulman with 25 points, Jens with 20 and J. Buter with 11.



Peshtigo Defeats Gibraltar

The Peshtigo Bulldogs came away with a nice near end of season win over the Gibraltar Vikings, defeating the invading Vikings by a 73-57 final verdict.

The halftime score saw the Bulldogs just narrowly in the lead 34-33. But a great second half effort by the Bulldogs swung the game on it head giving the Bulldogs the comeback win.

Leading the Bulldogs was Cade Tackmier with 36 points and Breyden Demmith with 14 points. Landon Lemke posted 10 points.

Gibraltar was led by Steebs with 16 points and Krauel who also got 16 points. Jaeger posted six on the night.



Wausaukee Defeats Niagara

The Wausaukee Rangers came way with a solid 65-47 victory over the Niagara Badgers.

The win saw the Rangers get a small lead in the first half, controlling the scoreboard with a 31-20 readout.

The Rangers were led by Hayden Renikow with 22 points and Tristan Pollard with 16 points. Brandon Shigouri added 13 points.

Niagara was led by Josh Weber with 14 points and Carlson with 10 points. Ty Colenso posted eight on the night.
