T/Wausaukee Acts On Squad Contract

Wausaukee Rescue Squad contract for 2013, plans for recycling coalition building and audit of electronic voting machines were among items of business at the regular monthly meeting of the Wausaukee Town Board on Tuesday, Dec. 4. It was held at 6:30 p.m., prior to the special town meeting held at 7 p.m.

Board members absent were Supervisor 2 Robert Ranallo and Supervisor 1 Bob Jicha

Others present were Jack and Penny Pociask, Geradina Zore, Pat Alvis, James Pociask, Richard Willan, Dave Kipp, Jared Deschane, Greg Schroeder, Andrew Schroede, Dean Bork, Robin Bender, Judy Engelmann, Tery Moza, Bud Lacoy, Emily Tadisch, Mick Stream and David Collier

Jack Pociask, representative from the Wausaukee Rescue Squad answered questions from the Board along with presenting a letter from both presidents of the Rescue Squad Kevin Kwasny and Tammy Schlies, and Northeast Accounting & Tax Service Inc., hired by Wausaukee Rescue Squad.

Supervisor Taylor made a motion to accept the 2013 Medical Service Contract of $13,854.10 with Wausaukee Rescue Squad;. It was seconded by Supervisor Kurt Stumbris and approved.

In other action, the Board approved the financial report of Sally Hultquist, treasurer showing balance on hand as of Nov. 30. Checking had $ 20,368.86, and money market General Account $ 73,905.95

Clerk Cheryl Stumbris distributed information to the Board on a proposed plans for Northwood’s Recycling Coalition Building.

She also reported that all members up for re-election in April 2013 and candidates should have their paper work returned to the clerk by 5 p.m. Jan. 3. 2013.

Also reported was that on Dec. 4, the Clerk and Chief Inspectors did an election audit of the voting machines for the Town of Wausaukee. The post-election voting system audit is designed to assess how the electronic voting system performed on Election Day by reviewing the actual ballots cast by electors. After reviewing all ballots and comparing the numbers to the official results report they were pleased to see that all numbers matched exactly.
