Ralph E. Liegeois, 60, of Oconto, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Bellin Health Oconto Hospital.
Born Jan. 27, 1959 in Oconto, to the late Carl and Jean (Belter) Liegeois, he married Sharon Smet on May 9, 1987.
A member of First American Lutheran Church in Oconto, he was a good person and loved his family and friends. He had a passion for farming and his two salvage yards, starting his first business, Ralph's Auto Salvage in 1987 with $100 in his pocket and his wife working along side of him.
He would give the shirt off his back to anyone, was an avid demolition derby driver and known by many people. His children helped him build cars and competed with their own cars. People associate his name with winning and bringing home the hardware and the family will continue his legacy.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Liegeois; a daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Zuleger; four sons, Ian (RaeLeah) Lassanske, RJ (Mandi) Liegeois, Ralph (Jessica) Liegeois and Jason Sikma; two sisters, Linda (Brian) Vincent and Jeanie Kazaluckas; four brothers, Carlie (Angie) Liegeois, Donnie Liegeois, Ray Liegeois and Jim Liegeois; 13 grandchildren and a lifelong friend, Duane "Oompa Loompa".
His parents preceded him in death.
Family received relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto on Thursday, June 13 from 4 p.m. until time of funeral services at 8 p.m., with Rev. Peter Dorn officiating.
