Shirley N. Gosenheimer, 89, formerly of Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls and Marinette passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Rennes Health Care Center-East in Peshtigo, where she lived for the past year.
Born Oct. 15, 1929, to the late Walter and Annette (Schmechel) Pagel in Milwaukee, she graduated from Milwaukee Girls Trades and Technical High School in 1947. On May 7, 1949, she married Harvey A. Gosenheimer at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death April 15, 2002.
She worked in the office at Schuster's Department Store, Gimbels and Pittsburgh Paints, but mostly loved being a mother and housewife. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, but especially working on family genealogy. She was also a Cub Scout leader and active in her Church.
She is survived by two sons, Gary (Susan) Gosenheimer of Marinette and Jack (Mary) Gosenheimer of Waukesha; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Harvey, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger.
Per her request, no formal services will be held. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery in Milwaukee. Memorials can be made to a Church or charity of one's choice. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
