Alex (Bud) Betzinger, 89, of Green Bay, formerly of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, June 17, 2019.
Born March 21, 1930 in Menominee, to Josephine and Alex Betzinger, he served in the United States Army and then worked for the Green Bay School District until retiring.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Geraldene (Gerry) Betzinger; eight children, Darlene (Mike) Schoen, Eileen (David) Clark, Christine (Jeff) Wilson, Daniel (Gloria) Betzinger, Valerie (Dan) Bunnell, Nancy Betzinger, John Betzinger and Lori (Ollie) Perkins; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; two sisters, Joanne Demler and Margaret (Joe) Finazzo; two sisters-in-law, Mitzi Betzinger and Mary Lou (Ken) Bulin; two brothers-in-law, Roland Chaltry and Bruce Oleson; a Godson, Tom McKay and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Schoen; his in-laws, Myrtle and John Kiefer; two sisters, Mary Chaltry and Teresa Tordeur; a brother, Jim and sisters and brothers-in-law, Evie and Gus Wood, Georgene and Bucky La Coursiere and Alice Oleson.
Family and friends visited at Annunciation Parish in Green Bay on Monday, June 24 from 8:30 a.m. until time of a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Simply Cremation of Green Bay assisted the family with arrangements.
