Red Wave Has Fantastic Week Of Legion Baseball

The Menominee Red Wave Post 146 boys secured a 6-5 win over Kingsford Friday night.
Kingsford got things going early as they quickly built a four run lead over the first three innings.
Menominee responded in the fifth inning with a four run push to take the lead. The final inning saw Menominee get two across while Kingsford pushed one across in the bottom of the inning.
Menominee's Dante Sartorelli took the mound win allowing no hits, one run and six walk while striking out nine.
At the plate Jason Janquardt was two of four with two RBIs. Hanson was one of three with two runs while Starzynski was one of three with a run.

The Menominee Red Wave Baseball team secured a huge 17-0 win Saturday at Spies field.Menominee started the rout in the first inning when they slapped home five runs to help break the spirit of the Negaunee boys. Then in the fourth the Menominee boys went wild, scoring 12 runs to shut down the game early via the mercy rule.
Alex Hanson was the evenings winning pitcher as he allowed two hits, no runs and four walks while striking out 10.
At the plate the Menominee boys were led by Matt Delfosse who went two for two with two RBIs and two runs. Sartorially was one of one while Buddy Beyer went three of four with three RBIs and three runs. Zach Starzynski was two of four with two RBIs and two runs.
Marquette Takes Down
Menominee By Two
The Menominee Red Wave just couldn't make solid contact with any of Marquette pitches Wednesday night when they traveled to Marquette for a 2-0 loss.
With a mere three hits to thier stat sheets by games end the Red Wave found themselves fighting to get on base.
Marquette got thier first run in the fourth while adding the final run of the night in the sixth.
Keegan Monroe was saddled with the loss for Menominee giving up two earned runs three hits and two walks while striking out four.
At the plate Menominee's Buddy Beyer was one of two while Jason Janquardt and Alex hanson both went one of three.
Menominee Gets Solid
Win Over Escanaba
Behind some fantastic pitching from Red Wave mound man Keegan Monroe the Menominee Post 146 boys were able to put away the Escanaba boys 5-3.
Monroe opened the game by sending all three hitters back to the dugout with fresh "K's" in thier pockets.
After the dominant first half of the opener Menominee slapped in three runs to set the tone.
Starting off the bottom of the first for Menominee was Alex Hanson who walked. Jason Janquardt followed with a single while an error gave a base to Buddy Beyer.
Monroe not only did his part on the mound but found a way to make a name for himself at the plate as he hit a pop up that was missed by the fielder allowing all three runners to cross home.
Escanaba plated one run in the third before Menominee posted two more statement runs.
Jesus Becerra led the charge in the bottom of the third for Menominee when he singled. He stole second and plated himself off a passed ball. Janquardt also found some speed on the baselines as he walked, then stole second and third before going home on another passed ball.
Escanaba fought hard and almost came back with a run in the final two innings.
Monroe won the game for Menominee allowing five hits, three runs and two walks while striking out 13.
At the plate Menominee was led by Janquardt with atwo of three effort. he also had one run and two stolen bases. Becerra posted a one of three showing with a run and a stolen base.
