Issue Date: June 27, 2019
Crivitz--Netzel-Zenz Post 413 announces its fourth of July parade marshal is Walter Schlenvoght, a Korean War veteran who was drafted in the Army in 1952 and discharged in 1953. During his service he was stationed in Alaska which was not a state at the time, but a territory. He has been a member of the Legion for over 30 years. In regards to his time in service he said "it was good duty and very much enjoyed. I would have stayed in longer, but my dad encouraged me to come home and help run a business he owned."
The parade begins at 11a.m. starting at Henriette Avenue and Hall Hay Street loop around the downtown and end at Henriette Ave. and Louisa St. After the parade the Legion will have a booth with drinks.
