Beecher Okays ATV Access From L to 141

At the Beecher Town Board meeting on June 11 at 6 p.m. the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. All board members were present along with 10 residents.
Minutes and treasurers report were accepted.
The May recycling report showed there were 17.06 tons of garbage and 3.94 tons of recyclables/paper. There were seven building permits,seven fire signs and one land use permits.
Two applications approved for liquor licenses were Green Acres and Four Seasons Resort.
County L ATV access was brought up by Keith Krish who said the highway commissioner wanted the town to give permission to open County L from Hwy. 141 to Smeester School road to ATV access. Approval was given.
Fencing ordinance was discussed and format was the same as used by county/state. Fences can be put on lot lines but no electrical fencing on property less that five acres. Fence viewer position was assigned to Elmer Groy and approval given.
Land subdivision ordinance was approved and discussion of ongoing road improvements was that the crew has been grading, crack sealing and patching. There was some discussion of the culvert on the Amberg-Beecher road, the culvert is too small which then washes out the road.
Correspondence was CD 29 maturing and board directed the treasurer to roll it over.
During public comment it was noted the park at Beecher Lake needs the grass cut. The Asian milfoil has made the beach dirty.
