Marinette County Breakfast On The Farm Serves Over 4,300

The Marinette County Breakfast on the Farm held June 30 at the Van De Walle Farm at W5467 Red School Road, Peshtigo, was a huge success, according to Corey Kuchta, one of the organizers. Over 4,350 people attended the breakfast with the help of over 300 volunteers.
He said the breakfast menu consisted of pancakes, eggs, sausages, cheese curds, maple syrup applesauce, milk, juice, coffee and ice cream.
Served were 240 gallons of ice cream (vanilla and strawberry), 84 gallons milk for smoothies and pancake mix, 3000 chugs of chocolate milk and 1000 white milk chugs, 480 cartons of orange juice, 1,500 pounds of eggs, 60 pounds of shredded cheese, 4900 butter pats, 52 pounds of butter, 3000 individually wrapped cheese sticks, 400 pounds of cheese curds, 500 pounds of pancake batter mix, 20 gallons of maple syrup, 600 deep fried cheese sticks, and 1 pallet of water.
For the kids there was a petting zoo, Moo-mania Comedy Show, kiddie tractor pull, face painting, balloons, kids bouncy play area, viewing of barns and cattle, wagon rides, music and more.
Dan and Sue Van De Walle took over the England Century Farm from Bob and Peggy England in 1991, today they farm it with their children, Eric and Jamie Van De Walle and Troy and Katie Van De Walle.
