Russell Henry Walters, 79, of Marinette, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, surrounded by family.
Born July 16, 1939, to the late Albert and Mary (Miller) Walters from Town of Lake, he worked at Scott Paper/ Kimberly Clark for over 35 years until retiring in March of 1999.
He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening, being outside and also had a love for all sports and followed them closely along with the local high school teams, but especially enjoyed time with family. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Porterfield and Harmony Sportsman Clubs and M&M Great Lakes Sport Fishermen.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Sheila (Eddie) Reznichek of Reedsville and Rhonda (Michael) Johnson of Washington, Mi.; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Walters, Garold (Lois) Walters and Gerald (Veta) Walters; five sisters, Caroline (Kenneth) Walters, Laverne (George) Eggener, Judy (Lee) Sanborn, Lois (Roger) Vista and Grace Wedin; many special brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Marion) Miller and brother-in-law, Gerald Wedin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11 at SS. Joseph and Edward Parish in Walsh from 9 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jess Berdol officiating. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
