Helen G. (Kobus) Zeitler, 90, of Pound passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 at home with her children by her side.
Born June 17, 1929, to the late Emil and Minnie Kobus, she grew up in the White Potato Lake Area and attended Gold Horn Grade School in Town of Brazeau. She married Myron Zeitler on Dec. 9, 1950 in Daggett, Mi.
She took care of the farm, milked the cows and took care of her seven children.
She loved gardening and quilting but especially flowers and time with her family. She was a member of Equity Club, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coleman, Ladies Aid and Little Country 4-H Club.
She is survived by six children, Dale (Kathy) of Oro Valley, Az., Donald of Lena, Jamie (Zeitler) Pelishek of Pound, Terry (Bonnie) and Timothy (Terry), both of Suamico and Ed (special friend, Dawn) of DeForest; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Ella Patz of Pound; sisters-in-law, Carol Kobus of Green Bay and Mabel Zeitler of Pound and many nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Zeitler; a daughter, Jean Wondrash; a grandson, Eric Zeitler; four brothers, Chester, Roy, Elmer and Henry Kobus and a sister, Marion Buege.
Relatives and friends called at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coleman on Wednesday, July 10 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Gregory Stahlecker officiated with burial in the Church cemetery. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Coleman assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund for the Zeitler Memorial Scholarship fund for Coleman High School has been established in her and her husbands memory.
