THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE

Lois Hudson, age 84, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, July 8th, 2019 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Peshtigo, Wisconsin due to complications of vascular dementia.
She was born on April 13, 1935 to William (Bid) and Cora (Morrison) Runnion of Amberg,
Wisconsin. She graduated Amberg High School and attended St. Luke's Hospital of Nursing in Chicago graduating as an RN in 1956.
She joined the Navy Nurse Corps in 1960 and wasstationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital near Washington, DC as a LTJG. She married David Hudson, and they moved to Chicago where they lived 4 years. After Lois and family moved back to Amberg in 1971, she became Director of Nurses at McVane Nursing Home in Crivitz for 18 years. She later worked for Marquette Home Health and Freeman's Nursing Home.
She was an active member of Interfaith Bible Fellowship Church where she taught Sunday School and played the piano for many years. In addition, she loved to volunteer at the Amberg Museum. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, knitting, visiting friends, singing praises to her Lord, baking yummy cookies, playing the piano and traveling to Arizona to visit her daughter and family.
In her final written thoughts she shared, "I am so thankful God gave me such a great family! May you grow in Him, so we can all meet again. Love, Mom" She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband David, daughter Karin, and step-son Cary".
She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Charlie); a son, Brad; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Interfaith Bible Fellowship, N15475 Downing Rd., Amberg, Wisconsin, Sunday, July 14th at 1:30 p.m.
