Crivitz Woman's Club Gives Over $20,000
Issue Date: July 11, 2019
Each year the Crivitz Woman's Club hold multiple fund raising events to raise money for various tax exempt organizations that serve people in Crivitz and surrounding communities. Thanks to the success of these fund raisers and the generosity of the people who take part in them, they were able distribute more than $20,000 at a Presentation Night held Monday, June 10 at the Marinette County Elderly Services site in Crivitz.
It is all part of fulfilling the purpose of the Crivitz Area Woman's Club, which includes "touching lives through service, charity and social activities".
Diane Mueller, corresponding secretary for the Crivitz Area Woman's Club, reported that donations distributed at the Presentation Night event included $5,000 that was evenly divided among the fire departments and rescue squads that serve Crivitz, Middle Inlet, Towns of Stephenson and Lake, and Twin Bridge; money for various specific needs of these departments, $550 to the Crivitz Elementary School for specific needs, and more, including contributions for food pantries, parks development and special funding to help finance specific equipment purchases for several fire departments and rescue squads.
