Crivitz Fire Association Oktoberfest is Sept. 14
Issue Date: September 12, 2019
The Crivitz Firefighters Association will host the 8th Annual Oktoberfest in Crivitz on Saturday, Sept. 14th from 11am - 10pm at Crivitz Community Veterans Park. The annual event raises funds for the purchase of needed department training and equipment.
The event will begin with the official tapping of the keg, a German tradition, at 11 am. Chad Przybylski and his Polka Rhythms from Pulaski will then play their favorites from 11am until 2pm.
Crivitz' High School Band teacher, Mr. K., will bring his WeisnFreund Oktoberfest Brass Band to plan polka music from 2pm until 5pm and BoomBoxx, a rock pop and country band, will play from 6pm-10pm.
German sausages, homemade German potato salad, sauerkraut and soft pretzels will be available for purchase. Domestic and German imported beers will be on tap, as well as wine, soda and water.
The kids can enjoy pumpkin decorating, free bouncy houses and pumpkin bowling. The adults can participate in adult-themed contests throughout the day, including the Fraulein's Beer Stein Race, Starken Mann Stein Hoisting Contest, and an annual favorite, the Sauerkraut Eating Contest.
