Wausaukee Town Garbage Has 3.5% Hike in 2020

Steve Corons Sales Representative from Great American Disposal addressed the Wausaukee Town Board at their Oct. 8 meeting with a proposal for 3.5% increase for garbage pickup beginning Jan. 1, 2020. Sup. Bob Jicha made a motion to accept. Seconded by Sup. Dennis Taylor.
In other action Operators Licenses were approved for Rebecca Whitton, Leah Collins, and Megan White.
Board reviewed revised agreement with the Village of Wausaukee about maintenance of the Steve Stumbris Sr. Memorial Park. They agree that a joint meeting with the Village is required.
Clerk Cheryl Stumbris shared information regarding Election Security Program. Grants are being offered to communities to improve their computer hardware, software and support. Any Wisconsin county, city, village or town can apply for the $1200 grant.
Supervisor Jicha will work on a MLS Grant for road construction of a 90/10 reimbursement over a period of six years. There are some specifications to be met.
The Budget Workshop was at 6:30 pm on Oct. 15, at the Wausaukee Town Hall
Jicha motioned to set Budget Hearing on Nov.12 at 7 pm following regular scheduled meeting at 6 pm.
Chairman Jeff Engelmann presided with Jicha, Tomasino, Taylor, and Stumbris present,
Sup. Kurt Stumbris and Treasurer Sally Hultquist were absent.
Others present were Bob Wesolowski, Judy Engelmann, and Darrell Finley.
Approved were agenda, minutes and vouchers and Financial Report of Checking $25,041.37, MM General Account $290,320.45.
