THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
SC Auxiliary Elects Officers
Issue Date: October 24, 2019
The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary met Monday, Oct. 14, at the town hall. Nominations for the offices of President and Secretary were accepted for a two year term. Barb Van Boxtel was re-elected as president and Dee Farley volunteered to be secretary. The other two offices will be up for election next year.
Reports were given from secretary, treasurer, correspondence, sunshine, scholarship, and funeral chairmen and the annual budget was approved. An audit of the treasurer's books will be conducted in November by members.
Discussed was the deer hunter's bake sale at Jungle Jim's on Nov. 22. Nancy Ollendorf will make the small signs for area businesses and Mary Deprey will post on Crivitz Area news on Facebook. Two easels will be purchased for sign posting and proceeds support scholarships. Proceeds from the Fire and Rescue Picnic will be awarded at the November meeting to the fire department and rescue squad and scholarships will be awarded in December when students are home from college.
Anyone interested in helping plan the Silver Cliff Centennial for next year are encouraged to attend the next scheduled meeting.
The annual Christmas luncheon is at Rapid's Resort and members are asked to sign up if attending.
The Nov. 12 meeting will be at 10 AM for the Fall luncheon. Auxiliary members should bring food items.
