Elizabeth (Liz) Ann (Whitford) Scholtz passed away on Oct. 25th, 2019, at home with her husband, Gary Scholtz, Sr., and sister-in-law, Linda Scholtz providing loving care. Liz, as she preferred to be called, was born on July 18, 1953 in Marinette, to Jim and Alice Whitford, who preceded her in passing.
She is survived by her son, William James (BJ) Cavill (Kristin), and two granddaughters; a daughter, Ann Elizabeth Stapleford (Justin), and five grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Bonnie (Tom) Welsh, and Carolyn (Jeff) Crick, and nieces.
A member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 146 Menominee, and Pioneer Presbyterian church in Marinette, she enjoyed bicycling, being outdoors, and attending performances at Theater on the Bay. Most of all she loved being a grandmother.
Private services for immediate family will take place at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home at 11am on Saturday, Nov. 9th, with graveside services to follow.
A remembrance for Liz will take place for family and friends at Cusack's Irish Pub in Marinette, beginning at noon on Saturday, Nov. 9th.
