Roger F. Myers passed away Nov. 7, 2019 at Aurora Medical Center Bay Area with his family by his side. He was born Feb. 18, 1933 to Harold and Dorothy Myers at their home in Carbondale, Mich.
He served as a Staff Sgt. in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957. Following his service, he returned home and worked for over 30 years at Kimberly Clark before retiring. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time watching races on TV and at Norway Speedway. He also enjoyed attending sporting events to cheer on his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marilyn (Swanson) Myers; three children, Glenn (Terri) Myers, Debbie (Scott) Nerat and Cheryl (Scott) Harris; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Myers; and sisters, Helen Highdale and Norma Stewart.
In lieu of a funeral service, there will be a celebration of his life for family and friends on Monday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. at The Pullman House.
