Eleanor Margaret (LaCanne) Parrett, 92, of Wallace, Mi.., passed Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 in her sleep at Roubal Care and Rehab Center in Stephenson, Mi.
Born March 28, 1927 in Menominee, Mi., to the late William and Esther (Adams) LaCanne. She married Raymond Parrett in Menominee, Mi. on Dec. 30, 1947 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 2010.
A homemaker, she later worked at Boreal Glove Factory and then KSU, retiring in 1990.
She enjoyed canning, baking, gardening and was always ready to go on an adventure. She loved family gatherings, with Christmas being her favorite time of year.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandy Leyo and LuAnn Nelson, both of Menominee, Mi., Susan (Jack) Heider and Debra (Brian) Laurin, both of Wallace, Mi.; two sons, James (Patricia) Parrett of Wallace, Mi and Timothy Parrett of Carney, Mi.; a step daughter, Cheri Marcotte of Ishpeming, Mi.; a son-in-law, Joseph Turek of Hermansville, Mi.; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren with number 39 due in May and a brother, Norbert LaCanne of Menominee, Mi.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Turek; a son, Richard Parrett; a son-in-law, Roger Leyo; two sisters and three brothers.
Family will receive friends at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Deacon Tom Rivard will officiate, immediately followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery.
